Perhaps you have come to a time where you are dealing with problems that seem beyond your control.
For example, you might have just lost a loved one through death or divorce, something about your life circumstances has changed in a way that you can’t deal with, you have been a victim of trauma or abuse, or you find it difficult to stop doing things that you know are bad for you.
It’s even possible that very distressful feelings, like despair or anxiety, seem to come out of nowhere for no reason at all.
What you are going through feels overwhelming and it’s making simply living your life seem difficult and joyless, and you have been feeling like this for much too long.
It’s time to get professional help.
When you come in for one-on-one counselling sessions I will be giving you a “safe place to fall”, which means I will be deeply listening to you with openness and respectful concern.
This is important because when you feel safe then it makes it easier for us to thoroughly explore and understand what is going on inside you, and to find what needs to be paid attention to and healed.
As our sessions continue, it will become clear what steps you can take to improve the quality of your life.
I will also be teaching you powerful tools and techniques that will help you cope more effectively with not only day to day living, but possible future upsets as well.
If you have never been to counselling before then I understand any unease you might have about revealing your inner life to someone you have never met.
But no matter how embarrassing or shameful your problem is, I do not see this as a reflection of who you are as a person…making judgements about you is, frankly, none of my business.
My intention is to give you the individual care you need and deserve. Take this time for yourself, things can get better!
